“Applying what we know?”

WALT: design an investigation
Purpose: To explain how plant material, with the assistance of a mordant sticks to various fabrics.
Task: Applying What we know

I could see the beetroot dye bubbling I put the calico material into the pot...I watched as the material started to change colour...

I see: I see purple string because the dye has coloured the string really well.
I think: I think that it is dyed really well because of the mordant.
I wonder:  I wonder if this is the best mordant to use.
